Multi Accounts Inventory Reports Printing in Tally
So far, we have discussed Reports through Display, to view the Report on screen. Drill down & trace Back, Print the Report on paper/ or Preview the Report on screen, from the current screen (without leaving the current screen)
Through Display, you may get report from the current screen. So, you get the Report for the selected Item only. It is useful to view a desired report quickly on screen for information.
Multi Account Reports provide better facility print reports for a selected period. You may select one or many Stock Items (under Stock Group / Stock Category) at a time. It is useful to print the Report on Paper for Record keeping / Distribution. The printing configuration options are almost similar to Display Configuration discussed earlier. The format & contents of the Multi Account Report are mostly similar to Display (or Reports printed from Display).
Multi Account Inventory Reports may be broadly classified as follows
- Inventory Books : Stock Item, Stock Transfer, Physical Stock Register
- Multi Account Reports with Inventory details
- Day Book : List of Vouchers for all Voucher Types, or a selected Voucher Type
- Account Books : Sales Register, Purchase Register, Debit Note, Credit Note, Journal Book, Cash Book, Bank Book
- Outstandings : Outstandings, Party Outstandings, Age Analysis
Tally has unique capability to include Inventory details also in Accounting Reports. For example, in Cash / Bank Book, Party Ledger or Outstanding Bills Statement, you can also get the details of Item details of Sales / Purchase, Debit / Credit Note.
So, when talking with Parties regarding some disputes, you can immediately find out the complete details of the Items involved in the same statement. You do not have to look and flip through several reports together. Normally Inventory details are separated from Accounting Reports.

At Gateway, select Multi Account printing to get Multi Account printing menu.

At Multi Accounts Printing menu, select Inventory Books to get Multi Account Inventory Books Printing menu, providing for Printing of :
- Stock Item : To print Stock Item Ledger
- Stock Transfer : To print Stock Journal Register

We now discuss each option under the Multi Account Inventory Books Printing Menu.
Multi Account Stock Item Ledger Printing in Tally
This report shows the Stock Item ledger for selected Stock Items
Select Multi Account Printing > Inventory Books > Stock Item to get Stock Item menu.
The Stock Item menu, contains following options:
- All Items: To print the report for All Stock Items.
- One item: To print report for the selected Stock Item Select the Stock Item from the list of Stock Items.
- Group of Items: Select the Stock Group from the list of Stock Groups, to print the report for all Items under the selected Group.
On selecting the desired option from the menu, the Stock Printing screen appears. Set the Report Period at Form & To fields.
Multi Account Stock Item Register in Tally
This report shows all the transaction of the selected Item, showing the columns (Opening, Inwards, Outwards, Closing), with Quantity / Rate/ Value, as specified in Printing options. At the end, the grand total of each numerical columns are shown.

At Multi Account Printing screen shows the default printing option set.
Type Y at Print Yes / No prompt, to print the Report for the specified period, as per default Printing options. To change the printing options, Type N and change the Options as required. Then Type Y to print as per changed options

- Contents : Set Y at he respective options to include in the report.
- Range : To print ledger for a range of alphabetical names, Set Yes at Set Alphabetical range of Printing and then enter the Start (at From) and End (at To) alphabet initials range (like A to B, AA to AE, BD to BE etc). The ledgers falling within the initials range as specified, would be printed
Item Index Page : To print Index Page of Stock Item ledger (page number for each Item), set Yes at Print Index Page. The Index Page is helpful to find out the relevant page of the Item, when the Stock Ledger Book of all Items are printed at period end (normally end of year) for record

This report shows the list of Stock Journal Vouchers only for a specified period
Select Multi Account Printing > Inventory Books > Stock Transfers to get Stock Journal Register printing screen.

Set the options as desired, to get Stock Journal Register.

Multi Account Inventory Accounts Voucher Day Book Printing in Tally
At gateway, select Multi Account Printing>Day Book to get the Day Book printing screen. Set Yes at Show Inventory Details also. Consequently, the Inventory details in the respective Vouchers (Sales, Purchase, Debit Note, Credit Note, Journal, Stock Journal), are also included
Multi Account Inventory Day Book in Tally
In Accounts Voucher (Sales, Purchase, Debit Note, Credit Note), Stock Item quantity details are shown in Particulars column (Amount figures are shown in Debit / Credit Column), while for Inventory Voucher (Stock Journal, Physical Stock) the Stock Item quantity details are shown in Inward / Outward columns.
Multi-Account Inventory Accounts Books Printing in Tally
We have seen various accounting reports containing only financial figures in respect of Sales / Purchase transactions (like Sales Register, Purchase Register, Debit Note, Credit Note, Journal Book).
Multi Account Printing of Account Books have been described earlier. At gateway, select Multi Account Printing>Account Books to get Multi-Account Account Books Menu
To print Inventory details also contained in Accounts Voucher (Sales, Purchase, Debit Note, Credit Note, Journal) in the following books, set Yes at the configuration option Show Inventory Details also of the respective account books

At gateway, select Multi Account Printing>Account Books> Sales Register to get the Multi Account Sales Register printing screen. Enter the period & set the options to get the Sales Register.

Multi Account Inventory Ledger Printing in Tally
Inventory details in Ledger are available only for Sales /Purchase Account Ledgers (for which you have set Yes at Inventory Values are affected in the Ledger Creation).
At Gateway, select Multi Account Printing>Account Books>Ledger to get the Multi Account Ledger printing screen (F-2B/01-08/S1)
