Job Cost Reports in Tally

Job Cost Reports Display in Tally

Job Cost Reports show all reports resulting from Masters and transactions relating to Job Cost module.

Having created the vouchers as explained above, you may get the following reports related to Job Costs:

  • Job Work Analysis
  • Material Consumption Summary

Job Cost Analysis Report in Tally

At Gateway of Tally, select Display > Statements of Accounts > Job Work Analysis, or Display > Statements of Inventory > Job Work Analysis.

Select the Cost Centre (from the list of Cost Centres for which you have set Yes at Use for Job costing) to get Job Work Analysis Report , showing details of Revenue, Cost for Materials Consumed and Expenses Incurred and the Profit for the selected Job (Cost Centre).

Job Cost Analysis Configuration in Tally

AtJob Work Analysis Report , click F12:Configure to get  Job Work Analysis Report Configuration, to set the options as follows:

  • Format : At Format :
    • Detailed : select Detailed to get the Report in Detailed Format showing details of each major element (Opening Stock, Inwards, Outwards etc),
    • Condensed: Select Condensed to get net figures of each major element
  • Percentage : At Show Percentage set Yes to show the percentage of each major head figures with respect to Revenue (when Revenue Figure is available)

  • F4:Job / Project : To select a Job / Project to get Work Analysis for the selected Job / Project

Job Cost Materials Consumption Summary in Tally

At Job Work Analysis Report, drill down through Consumption line to get  Material Consumption Summary, showing details of Opening, Voucher Type wise breakup of Inwards & Outwards and Closing Stock figures for each Job Cost Godown.

At Materials Consumption Summary , click F12:Configure to get Materials Consumption Summary Configuration screen to configure the columns of the Report. Set Yes / No to show / suppress the respective columns in the report.

  • Opening Balance : At Show Opening Balance, set Yes to show the Opening Balance Column, else set No (the Opening Balance Column is not shown).
  • Goods Inwards : At Show Goods Inwards set Yes to show the Goods Inwards Column, else set No (the Goods Inwards Column is not shown).
    • Goods Inwards Details : Having shownGoods Inwards, at Show Goods Inwards in details, set Yes to show the break up columns of Goods Inwards, else set No (the Details break up columns are not shown).
  • Consumption : At Show Consumption set Yes to show the  Consumption Column, else set No (the Consumption Column is not shown).
    • Consumption Details : Having shownConsumption , at Show Goods Consumption in details, set Yes to show the break up columns of Consumption , else set No (the Details break up columns are not shown).
  • Goods Outwards : At Show Goods Outwards set Yes to show the Goods Outwards Column, else set No (the Goods Outwards Column is not shown).
    • Goods Outwards Details : Having shown Goods Outwards , at Show Goods Outwards in details, set Yes to show the break up columns of Goods Outwards , else set No (the Details break up columns are not shown).
  • Closing Balance : At Show Closing Balance, set Yes to show the Closing Balance Column, else set No (the Closing Balance Column is not shown).

At Materials Consumption Summary, drill down through a Job Godown to get Material Consumption Stock Summary showing details for the selected Job Godown

Job Work Materials Consumption Stock Item Summary Configuration in Tally

At Material Consumption Stock Summary , click F12:Configure to get Material Consumption Stock Summary Report configuration screen , with options similar to Material Stock Summary Configuration . Set Yes / No to show / suppress the respective columns in the report.

Complete Details : At Material Consumption Stock Summary Report configuration screen , at Expand at All Levels in detailed Format, set Yes to get details upto lowest level in Detailed Format.

Job Work Materials Consumption Stock Item Summary Buttons in Tally

At Material Consumption Stock Summary, you get following buttons

  • F4: Godown : To select a Job / Project Godown to get the Report for selected Godown
  • F5:Itemwsie / Grouped : To get the Report for each Stock Item Name / Stock Item Group
  • F7: Show Profit / Hide Profit : To get additional columns for Gross sales / Cost / Contribution (Profit columns)
